When Canadian angler Paul Cioca first met Rene, a passionate German carp angler, on the banks of Lake Bled, the two hit it off instantly. A year later, Rene travelled all the way to Canada to return the favour — and after that trip, he made Paul a bold promise: “If you ever come to Germany, I’ll put you on a 20kg carp.” Now, Paul’s taken him up on the offer.
