After watching my mate Louis finally catch the carp he'd been grafting for, everything fell back into perspective. It gave me the push I needed to go for it myself.
That same night I headed back to the lake and banked a 30lb+ carp before sunrise. From there, I was completely locked into one area of the lake.
Over the next few weeks it was a case of rinse and repeat. Same bit of water, session after session. The bites kept coming and the stamp of fish was proper, but eventually I started questioning whether I was wasting my time staring at the same patch of lake. I knew it would go one of two ways: the area would eventually die a death, or a biggun would turn up.
