There's something special about discovering a new water. The anticipation, the unknown and the excitement of the journey ahead.
In “The Approach” we join big fish carp angler Si Bater as he explores a familiar big pit, home to carp now in excess of 50lb. Ninety-odd acres, savage undertows, inaccessible sections of water, but for Si Bater, that's the whole point.
In his NEW series, Si talks open minds, wandering the lake at night, forgotten fish from the '70s and why the carp are a by-product of fun. Filmed through late summer and into early autumn, the series captures the early stages of a his adventure - getting a feel for the surroundings, discovering the water's potential and piecing together the pieces of the puzzle.
More than just the fishing itself, this episode of ‘The Approach’ celebrates the excitement of starting something new: the curiosity, the possibilities and the anticipation of everything that lies ahead.
