We sit down with Nick Helleur, one of carp fishing’s biggest characters, to talk all things Oxfordshire. Famed for its big and beautiful carp that have acted as inspiration for anglers all around the UK for decades, Oxford will hold its own in any argument for where the best carp have come from, and Nick fished in the area during it’s peak. This was a period during which the Donald Leney stockings were still going strong and the likes of the Linch Hill complex were yet to boom in popularity; he has a whole host of interesting tales that we simply couldn’t wait to hear.
